The brief was to renovate and transform the traditional 3-story commercial block into the cool living place yet sustainable for nice couple with 3 children. The design is challenging by demolishing the floor area of 1 span on the 3rd floor. Then the double space was created between the children and parents room. This space also act as not only the bridge connecting whole family together but also provide the most precious space overlooking the river opposite the house. Sustainable design point of view, the high-ceiling volume allows the heat passively ventilate inside the house, even the all rooms are locked up.
